Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle Big Brothers Big Sisters is always looking for people eager to positively impact a child. Mentors are matched with a child that has similar interests and lives within a reasonable proximity. The commitment is for a year and the Big must commit to meet with their Little for at least 6 hours per month. |
Horses for Hope - Therapeutic Riding Center Love working with horses or those with special needs? Horses for Hope is always looking for feeders, groomers, horse-leaders, side-walkers, training horses (requires completion of Basic Horsemanship Course), serving on various committees, facility maintenance, or camp helpers. |

November 2024 Thanksgiving Luncheon for low income Senior Citizens Partnered with Adopt a Senior and hosted a Thanksgiving luncheon for 15 senior citizens in our community. We provided food/desserts/drinks, to go containers, and goodie bags that included socks, lotion, lip balm, and a puzzle book. |
October 2024 Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts $1,400 was donated to Hurricane Helene relief efforts - member donations totaled $700 combined with a Cisco match of $700. |
March 2024 Easter baskets 24 Easter baskets were donated to the Durham Rescue Mission to distribute at their Annual Easter Event. |
Feb 2024 Prom dresses 26 dresses were donated to the The I Am Worth It Foundation for their Say Yes to the Prom Dress event. |
Dec 2023 Help a neighbor in need We were able to raise $628.01 to pay a neighbor’s electric bill pending balance before disconnection. |
Sept 2023 Food Drive 315 lbs of food donated to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard |
August 2023 Fans We donated 11 new box fans for Cool for Wake, a seasonal weather relief program that provides free fans to vulnerable residents who are adversely affected by extreme summer temperatures between May and September. |

May 2023 5k Walk On May 20 we attended the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) walk in Perimeter Park and our team raised $150 to help improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones |

February 2022 Comfort Drive for Quarantined Homeless Men Books, magazines, games, puzzle books, pens, notebooks, snacks and more were donated to the South Wilmington Street Center for the Comfort Drive for Quarantined Homeless Men sponsored by Activate Good. |
January 2022 Vase/Mug Donations 72 vases and 25 mugs were donated to The Flower Shuttle so flowers can be distributed to people living with sickness, terminal illness, poverty and disability who don't normally get flowers. |
October 2021 Halloween Treat Bags 64 Halloween treat bags were provided to the children at Ronald McDonald House of Durham & Wake. |
September 2021 Blessing Bags 48 blessing bags were donated to Brown Bag Ministry to distribute to homeless men staying in the South Wilmington Street Center. Drawstring backpacks included 2-3 hygiene items, a hat, gloves, poncho, water bottle and a few snack items. |
August 2021 Fundraiser $1000 was donated to The Village of Stillborn Mamas. $500 was raised through a fundraiser and then matched by Cisco. Kind Crew members could choose a t-shirt/tank top, koozie or tote bag for a donation amount of their choice. The highest donor chose where to donate 100% of the proceeds. |
July 2021 Diaper Drive Diapers (1,075), Pull ups (437), wipes (1,560 or 27 packs), Women’s disposable underwear (186), and pantiliners (300) were donated to the NC Diaper Bank |
June 2021 July 4th party Patriotic items were provided to The Women's Center of Raleigh for a July 4th party for the women and children they help support. Items included snacks, drinks, decor, fun swag, and treat bags for the kids. |
May 2021 School Supply Drive Supplies were donated to teachers at Wilson’s Mills Elementary. We provided 95% of the requested supplies (from 10 teachers). Three $15 Amazon gift cards were given to teachers who requested less than others. Extra supplies, books on teaching and classroom decorations were donated to the school and can be distributed as needed. |
April 2021 Mother’s Day gift bags 62 Mother's Day gift bags were donated to Urban Ministries of Durham (47 bags) and the Women’s Center in Raleigh (15 bags). Each bag contained a gift card ($5 or $10), a personal item (slippers, flip flops, jewelry, scarf, etc) and 2-3 hygiene items (lotion, lip gloss, face mask, body wash, nail polish, etc). |
